Mary Woolsoncroft

Mary Alice Woolsoncroft, age 71, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Mary was born December 24, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Arthur and Vernetta (McCalley) Hillard. She loved animals and was a talented artist. Mary volunteered many hours creating billboards for churches and nursing homes. She was a loving, caring person who always wanted to put a smile on your face. She will be truly missed.

Mary is survived by her son, Richard D. (Brenda) Woolsoncroft; daughter, Debra A. Woolsoncroft; granddaughter, Jennifer Wilson; grandsons, Michael Woolsoncroft and Matthew; sister, LaDonna Heathcote; and brothers, Buck Hillard and Charlie Hillard.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Author and Vernetta Hillard; brothers, Dale Hillard and Gary Hillard; sister, Ethel Scott-Wright; and her husband, Don Woolsoncroft.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
