Doris England

Doris L. England, 72, of Des Moines died on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at the Hospice Kavanagh on Grand in West Des Moines. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at Park Ave. Christian Church. There will also be memorial visitation from 10:30 -12 Noon on Thursday at the Wilson-Watson Funeral Home in Mt. Ayr.
Doris was retired from Agri-Credit and had also worked at the Principal Financial Group. She was a member of the Park Ave. Christian Church, the Tingley American Legion Auxillary. She had volunteered at Blank Children’s Hospital and loved to read.
She is survived by her children Kathy Simpson of Cumming, Diane Gibril of Des Moines and Jeff England of Ellston, her grandchildren Josh Woodard (Alisa Munzenmier), Jesse, Trevor and Katie Simpson, her brothers John (Patty) Ruckman of Rincon, Georgia and Rex Ruckman of Stockton, California, her sisters Helen (Tom) Shay of Des Moines, Hazel (Delbert) Jackson of Grant City, Missouri and Mary Ellen (Chuck) Shimerdla of Omaha as well many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jerry Ruckman and her nephew Bill Jackson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the Make-a- wish Foundation.
