Trevor Churchill
May 08, 2017
April 5, 2001 – May 8, 2017
Trevor was born in Des Moines, IA and attended Johnston High School. He was just completing his sophomore year.
Trevor had a great love of sports. From skiing in the Rockies, boating on Lake Superior, to paddle boarding in Mexico, he never hesitated to try something new. He was a regular at the Minnesota and Iowa Wild games, US Bank Stadium to see the Vikings, and the I-Cubs. He was strong and talented in the math and sciences, and would have been a great Engineer.
Tragically, he saw only mountains where we saw pebbles in the walk of life. We would give anything to hold him by the hand one more time and guide him down God’s path. We loved him so very, very much. He was a great teammate, friend, peer, nephew, cousin, grandson, and brother, but most importantly, he was the best son we could ever ask for.
Trevor is survived by his parents, Brad and Tammy; sisters, Ellie and Madie; grandparents, Larry and Karen Churchill and Tom and Luck Perreten; aunts and uncles, Paul and Sandy Lundstrom, Matt and Lisa Plowman, and many cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines with visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be received by the family in loving memory of Trevor.
