Joanna Doyle

Jo Anne (Sly) Doyle, 70, passed away at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames on December 26, 2007 after a battle with cancer. Jo Anne, a lifelong resident of central Iowa, was born to Leon and Helen (Nelson) Williams on June 14, 1937 in Des Moines, IA.
Jo Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Helen (Nelson) Williams; first husband, Richard Sly; brother, Meredith Williams; sister, Sally Chase.
Jo Anne is survived by husband, Ron (Slim) Doyle; children, Robert (Debra) Sly, Tom (Nancy) Sly, Richard (Julie) Sly, Darcy (Dan) Layman, Deanna (Tim) Meeker, Bruce (Carla) Doyle, Brad (Carol) Doyle, Lana (Lee) Keppeler, and Lisa (Ken) Woodley. Four brothers and four sisters, Stepmother Helen Mundell, and sister-in-law Julie Williams, Aunt Bettey (John) Franklin, Uncle Frances (Mary) Williams, 50 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held for family and friends from 6pm to 8pm Friday Dec. 28th at Hamilton's Funeral Home 605 Lyon St., Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral service will also be held at Hamilton's Funeral Home beginning at 11am Saturday Dec. 29th with burial service to follow at Laural Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
The family also asks that in lieu of flowers a monetary donation to Israel Family Hospice House would be welcomed.
