John Fulmer

John S. Fulmer, 66, died suddenly December 24, 2007. He was born June 1, 1941 to Virginia and John Fulmer. John was employed by Consolidated Freightways for 36 years.
He was a member of the Teamsters, Local 147. He had been a member of Sheridan Park United Methodist Church for more than 30 years and is currently a member of Clifton Hts. Presbyterian Church.He was a member of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and Guild and John coached Little League in Altoona and Grandview. He was a past member of the Civic Center of Des Moines, the former Ingersoll Dinner Theater and the Des Moines Playhouse. He also enjoyed his family, friends, reading, traveling and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
John is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; son, John IV (Theresa); Six grandchildren; John (Sammi) Fulmer V., Sandy, Mike, Kaydie, Ralphie and Jessie. Four great- grandchildren, Lanie, John, Kennadi and Meyah. Also, brothers; Wilmer ( Denise) and Tracy (Karen)Fulmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice.
Per John’s request, there will be a memorial service at a later date. He has donated his body to medical science.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family in John’s memory where they will be
divided among various charitable organizations.
