Sarah Maystadt

Sarah Madeline Maystadt, 93, died Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Valley View Village. Per her wishes, her body has been cremated.
Sarah was born December 10, 1914 in Afton, Iowa. She lived in the Des Moines area most of her life. Sarah was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Sarah is survived by her half-brothers, Harold and Eugene Lawler and her half-sister, Gloria Brockway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Maystadt; brother, Ora Swift; and sister, Sylvia Gilmore.
A private joint burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery for Sarah and her late husband, Elmer.
