Jack Dewayne Dearden, 61, passed away May 2, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born August 13, 1955 in Des Moines to Bud and Mavis Dearden. Jack served in the United States Army. He was an avid Iowa State basketball fan.
Jack is survived by his wife, Sandy; children, Amanda (Wes) Foster and Jack (Holly) Dearden; grandchildren, Tierney Norton-Viers, Layla and Jack Dearden; siblings, Sharon (Rick) Livingston and Dennis Dearden; and a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

Jack,you'll have to put on your glasses,but this is to you. I'm so sorry to hear this, I know we haven't seen each other for a great many years,. Sandy and Family, I want to express my sincere condolences regarding Jack. He was a client of mine and I found him to be a kind and humble man that loved his family and was concerned for their welfare. Over the years I have remembered him fondly. I wish you all peace and happy memories of a good man.
