Naly Phengsiaroun

Naly Phengsiaroun, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2017 with her family by her side at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

Naly was born on June 26, 1940 to Mr. Toop and Mrs. Tone Phetmanisay in Muong Wapi, Laos - Saravane Province. She was one of seven children; five sisters and a brother.

Naly was married to Bounlap Phengsiaroun in 1962. Together they had six children; three boys and three girls. The family traveled to Seattle, Washington as refugees in the early 1980's, eventually making Des Moines, Iowa home in 1985. Naly was a loving mother, grandmother and also a loyal friend that enjoyed gardening, sewing, jigsaw puzzles and playing card games with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bounlap and is survived by her six children; Phanmaha (Kay), Orada (Kristina), Doungmala, Vathany (Keo), Sompy and Ratsamy (Aenoi); three sisters who reside in Laos, many grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
