Stacey Dare
March 23, 2017
Stacey Millette Dare passed away on March 23, 2017, at the age of 52. She was a lifelong resident of Urbandale, Iowa. When Stacey wasn’t speeding around town in her white Dodge Dakota truck with its SDARE personalized plates, she could be found in her perfectly organized apartment spoiling her doggies, Sandy Anne and Snookums. Yellow and pink were her favorite colors, and collecting anything and everything Barbie was her life’s passion. Stacey didn’t believe in wearing matching socks or earrings and only wore shoes when absolutely necessary. She started each day with a Diet Pepsi and tried to end it with a dish of vanilla ice cream.
Stacey was a gracious granddaughter, a delightful daughter, a sassy sister, an amazing aunt, and a fabulous friend. Stacey was dearly loved and will forever be missed by her family and friends. Among those left to celebrate her life are her grandmother, Hazel VanVoorhis; her mother, Paula Napier; her sisters, Paige and Heather Dare; her nephews, Ames (Mallory and Bennett) and Ashton Cross; and her nieces, Amelia (Matthew) Vogl and Abigail Cross.
