Terry Smith, 69, passed away at his home in Des Moines on March 1, 2017. He was born September 26, 1947, in Des Moines, to Jerrel and Mary Smith.

Terry was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He retired as a truck driver from YRC Freight. Terry loved fishing and golfing.

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Judy; sons, Steve Smith and Kevin Smith; grandchildren, Skylar, Riley, Kolton, and Connor; siblings, Jerrel (Naomi) Smith, Dennis (Judy 2) Smith, and Denise Perry; as well as many nieces, nephews, and loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donny Smith, and sister, Joan Chance.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, 1100 Shriners Parkway in Altoona, IA.
