Theodore "Ted" Gilliam

Ted Gilliam, 49, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on February 3, 2017 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. He was born in Des Moines on March 6, 1967 to Mary (Newerf) and Carl Gilliam Sr.
Ted was an avid Notre Dame Football fan and a patron of the E. 14th Street Tavern. Ted worked for Yellow Cab for 17 years and was known as “Ted the Cab Man”.
Ted is survived by his girlfriend, Susan Clausi; children Crystal (Ben Wells) Gilliam, Desiree (Travis) Easton, Jake Vestal and Matthew Gilliam; grandchildren, Damien, Angel, Hunter, Matthew, Autumn and Zayden; step-children, Skylar (Jarred) Hilt, Frank Clausi IV and Tanner Clausi; brother, Al (Wanda Larson) Gilliam; former spouse, Angie Gilliam along with a host of beloved friends and family. Ted is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fuzzy and Bill Gilliam; and his beloved dog, Gigi-Woo.
Family will greet friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines with a time of sharing at 7:30 p.m.

Susan,
I love you and am hugging you as tight as I can in spirit. You are on my mind, in my heart and I am deeply sorry for your deep pain and loss in losing your dear and cherished Teddy. My prayers have been with you since I saw your profound post on Face Book. My heart goes out to you. I will continue to pray for your comfort, that Jesus wrap his arms around you so very very tightly.
