So sorry to hear of Uncle Earnie's passing. I know he had many health issues and am glad that those struggles are over for him. I have many fond memories of Woods family gatherings and the picture of Earnie that comes to mind is one of an ornery grin! I know he will be missed by my dad very much, as well as all of us who loved him. Rest In Peace Uncle Earnie!

I was deeply saddened when hearing of Ernie's passing. He was one of a kind with a sense of humor unique unto him. When I was a kid if Ernie was going fishing with my dad I wanted to go because I knew I would laugh the whole time. One particular trip I will never forget. Myself, Gary, my dad, and Ernie went to Springfield Missouri to go to the Bass Pro Shop. We were out to dinner one night when a group of people walked by our table with salad piled a foot high on their plates and Ernie blurts out "look at those pigs" When we got to the car the four of us started laughing uncontrollably and Ernie said "well it's the truth" Ernie will be greatly missed, my thoughts and prayers go out to Joyce, Gary, and the rest of the family

My heartfelt condolences wished to the Woods family. I remember Grampa Ernie as he and Gramma Joyce came to pick up their granddaughters from my daycare. He was always a soft-spoken man, so sweet! May God bless the Woods family as they mourn the passing of their patriarch. Love sent, "JJ"

You were the best grandpa ever. I will definitely miss all the fun times we had together. I will always remember your funny jokes and the the faces you made at me and when I was young you drew really ugly pictures and told me it was me you were drawing just to make me mad. I loved how we could always tease and make fun of each other and just sit there and laugh about it. I had so many fun memories with you Grandpa. Maddy reminded me of the Billy the Bass you had. I'm pretty sure you had more than one. You were so funny. I will miss you so much grandpa Ernie. Love , Payton

There will never be another Ernie! Thought before he spoke, a witty dry sense of humor and that chuckle when he thought he had gotten one over on you. Ern, my Cousin Joyce was a lucky girl when you came into he life at that youthful High School age. Y always felt inspired after our visits. The fun times the four of us had at the ledges State Park and many more memories we built together. You will be missed my friend and we will be Celebrating your Life for many year to come. RIP buddy. Ernie was as good a friend as any man could ever be. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he was a devoted family man who knew where his priorities were. I am honored to have been one of his friends and I will miss him greatly.
