Bernice Hudson

Bernice Hudson, 83, went on her final adventure on Sunday, November 18, 2007. Services will be held on Sunday, November 25 at 3:00 PM at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Bernice was born on September 27, 1924 in Afton, Iowa where she spent her early years growing up on the farm. From there, she spread her wings and took off on many adventures, working in New York City and Washington DC for the FBI, the
CIA and the French Embassy. When she was ready to settle down, she moved back to Iowa and married James Hudson. Throughout her life she was proficient in sales, working for many companies, but also worked for the National Society of the Blind, HUD and eventually retired from Veteran's Hospital in Des Moines. Bernice was a dedicated follower of Christ and
member of Pathway Church in Johnston.
Bernice is survived by her sons: Jeff Hudson of Lake Mills, IA, Larry Hudson and wife, Cathy of Centerville, IA and Dan Hudson and wife, Cheryl of Johnston, IA; two sisters: Mildred McKinnie of Washington, and Doris Porter of Iowa; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of
family members and great friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Rita, and her son, Teddy. Memorial contributions may be made to Pathway Church.
