I didn't get to see Denny much, mostly weddings and big family get-togethers, but he was the guy you wanted to be with at those functions (and that is saying something if you know the characters that are at these events). He was so easy to talk to and laugh with...a truly genuine guy with an effortless smile.
I can't express enough how much I feel for the family and hope that the thoughts and prayers sent by everyone can help....even if only in a small way. He will undoubtedly be missed by many.

I had the privilege of working with Dennis for over 2 years at the West Suburban Station and then occasionally at the Hawkeye District. He was a truly wonderful person and always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. He spoke of his wife and children often and I know he loved his family deeply. He will be truly missed.
