Service Details

Jill Denise Ayersman, the daughter of Erin Ayersman, was born July 8, 1990, in Des Moines, Iowa. She passed away unexpectedly May 8, 2024, following complications from a medical condition. She was a young 33 years of age.

Jill was raised in Pleasant Hill, Iowa and graduated from Des Moines East High School. She has two siblings, Seth and Alyssa, whom she loved very much. Always the social butterfly, Jill could strike up a conversation with anyone. She had to put her head down the second day of kindergarten for talking too much. Her affinity for talking was noted on multiple report cards and in parent-teacher conferences throughout her school years.

Jill had an infectious laugh and her smile would light up the room. She enjoyed cooking, horticulture, reading, watching movies, being with family and friends, and her two cats, Marvel and DC. She also loved the Twilight movies and was Team Edward to the end. She was a huge Harry Potter fan, rereading the books constantly; she had the entire set. A woman of varied interests, she also loved watching NFL football and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. But above all else, her proudest achievement was her daughter, Marley. She loved her so very much.

Jill is survived by her mom, Erin; father, Brian Ayersman; brother, Seth Ayersman and his wife, Brynn and daughter, Eliza; sister, Alyssa Scott and her husband, Matt; daughter, Marley Parker; grandma, Patricia Mickelson; uncle, Steve Mickelson; aunt and uncle, Anita and David Kist; uncle, Chris Mickelson; cousins, Michael Kist and family, Mark Kist and family, Eric Kist, Brad and Ashley Mickelson, Makali and Cody Mickelson; great-aunts and uncles, Marv and Marlys Reiland, Mary and Elwyn Bruhl, and Elsie Hill; and many extended cousins and their families.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Keith Mickelson; great-aunts and uncles, Bill and Linda Hanson, Clair and Lorine Meyer, Kenny and Bonnie Hill, Gary Hill, and Bobby and Donna Hill; extended cousin, Mark Reiland; and her paternal grandparents, Donald Ayersman and Sharon Van Sickle.
