John Robert Hartman, 52, was born March 7, 1964 in Winfield, Illinois to Eugene and Joan (Webster) Hartman. He passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at his home in Des Moines.

John was an avid football fan and was dedicated to his football team, the Hilltoppers. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years. John was a friendly and happy person who will be remembered as being loyal and trustworthy to his many friends and family.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Hartman and his siblings, Randall, Michelle, Scott, and Robert. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Hartman and his sister, Cheryl Ann.

Cremation has occurred and there will be a celebration of life at a later date in Illinois.
