Roy Mulhern

Roy E. Mulhern, 65, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center.

Roy was born September 29, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to James and Velma Jean Mulhern. He grew up in the Anoka, Minnesota area. Roy served 7 ½ years in the U.S. Marines Corps with a tour of duty in Vietnam. He retired from Wells Fargo Card Services several years ago. Roy was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed watching old westerns, spending time with his best buddy Pepper and the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Carol; sons, Scott (Melanie) and Eric (Amanda); four brothers; and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
