Lois Fuller, 84, passed away on March 21, 2016, at Trinity Center at Luther Park in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, on July 26, 1931, to John and Alberta Shirk.

Lois was a proud graduate of East High School Class of 1949. She retired from Iowa State Bank where she worked for 47 years as a bookkeeper.

Lois was a member of Union Park Grace Fellowship. She was commonly known as the Candy Lady from the East Side and loved fine dining restaurants, especially Latin King.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Nancy (David) Clark and Debra (John) Stewart; grandchildren, Blaine (Kristen) Clark, Adrienne (Dan) Avery, and Mary Stewart; all of her grand-pets that she adored; as well as a host of other loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Fuller, and sister, Ethel Stanbrough.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Visitation will be held Friday evening at the funeral home from 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held at Glendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Animal Rescue League or Make-A-Wish Foundation in loving memory of Lois.
