I miss bike rides and beer. We hadnt spoken in so long, but I always just assumed we would see each other and start up right where we left off. I guess it might be a little longer than I thought. You will be missed my friend.

It's been nearly been a year since we lost our friend. Carey was a roommate of mine in the 90's in San Diego. He didnt pay the typical rent he helped fix my house. He always did more than I expected. That was just the kind of guy he was. He helped my son with his first Boy Scouts race car which of course took 1st place. Go figure. He would also fix my car he only required a 6pack of beer.
I just find this site today and didnt see it before. Because Carey left us way to soon I decided to take a trip to Hawaii on a whim. Because life is too short. While I was there I picked up some sand from the beach, said a little prayer and let the sand blow away in the wind as I looked around I saw a most beautiful rainbow. He was a special guy I will miss my friend.

Just came to the realization that there must be wrong as I havent had any of our monthly conversations in too long. You have been a close friend since the 80's my brother and I will miss you dearly. This is not the retirement we spoke of buddy. Ride like the wind and mash down that pedal, weather in spirit or just in our hearts!! If someone would contact me and let me know what happened I would appreciate it.

Carey, you left us way too soon. You were a very close and true friend, and a fellow motor-head. You had a great sense of humor and a taste for adventure. I always looked forward to riding time on the motorcycles; you were a great road companion. I will miss you immensely, till I see you again.
My sincere condolences to Carey's family and friends.

I wish my sincere condolences to all of Carey's family. His passing is a great loss to all who knew and worked with Carey. I enjoyed having lunch or just visiting here at the factory with my friend. The opportunities to go out biking with our group were great memories.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Carys Family and Friends. Carys contribution to the John Deere Ottumwa Works will be lasting and forever appreciated. As a veteran, his contribution for the completion of the flag poles and display area on the south end of property is a great outward sign of his commitment to John Deere and his Country. Thank you all for sharing him with us at the Factory in his much too brief time in this world. -Factory Manager, John Deere Ottumwa Works.

It's hard to believe Carey and I walking through the Ottumwa Plant
1 1/2 months ago looking at projects. Going out to lunch at his favorite Chinese restaurant. I will truly miss Carey. He was my kind of people. We were able to work and have some fun at the same time. Goodbye friend and Godspeed.

Cary will be greatly missed. We enjoyed taking road trips on the motorcycles with him. He loved encouraging Mike to "step out of the box" when it came to eating at different restaurants. We pray for his family. He was a very special guy and we were blessed to have him as a friend
