Linda Knoop

Linda May Knoop, 71, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 26, also at Hamilton’s, with burial at Powers-Warren Cemetery.

Linda was born August 22, 1944 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Arthur and Viola (Taylor) Hospodarsky. She enjoyed jewelry making, knitting, and crocheting. She liked volunteering and spending time with her friends at the senior center. Linda loved shopping and was very stylish with an unique and eclectic taste in clothing. She had an artist’s eye and loved doing anything crafty.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Chuck Knoop; children, Toby (Emily Truitt) Knoop, Stacy (Monty) Chambers, and Chad (Terry Smothers) Knoop; grandchildren, Jordan Parcel, Dallas Knoop, and Cora Knoop; brother, Dennis Hospodarsky; embraced daughter, Dawn Parcel; and embraced grandchildren, Erin Parcel and Zachary Truitt. She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Abby Knoop.
