Nancy Dingman

Nancy Dingman, 78, passed away at her home Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
Nancy was born March 13, 1937 in Des Moines to Walter and Cecile (Hubbard) Gibson. She graduated from Tech High School. Nancy was a member of Park Avenue Presbyterian Church, East Gate Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution Jean Marie Cardinell Chapter.
Nancy is survived by her children, Leland “Ted” Dingman, Kevin T. (Sherry) Dingman, Brian K. (Rhonda) Dingman and Kellie J. (W. Scott) Phelps; grandchildren, Brad Dingman, Eric Dingman, Mitchell Dingman, Jacob Dingman, Kelsey Dingman and Connor Phelps; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, Ethan and Bryce; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Leland “Tom” Dingman.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Park Avenue Presbyterian Church or Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

So sorry for the loss of your mom...she was a wonderful lady and we always enjoyed visiting with her whenever we got together...was glad to see her on July 4th and getting to visit with her....our prayers will be with you and your family and know that she is up with your dad and enjoying their time together again...Love & God Bless

Aunt Nancy your smile and your laugh are central to so many of my childhood and young adult memories. Making cookies, putting up dozens of ears of corn and vinegar taffy pulls. You always faced life with such grace and joy. I'll miss you, but I know you are dancing across heaven with Uncle Tom. God Bless
