Jerry R. Adams

Jerry R. Adams, 53, passed away on January 11, 2016, at his home in Des Moines. He was born July 22, 1962, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the son of Jerry L. and Virginia Adams.

Jerry graduated from South Winneshiek High School and served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1986.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Adams; grandsons, Kenny Adams and Jeremiah Kellow; sisters, Char (Rick) Whitaker, Lisa (John) Lajoie, and Christina Muchori; 6 nephews and 4 nieces. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Private inurnment will be held at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in March.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to establish an educational trust fund for his grandsons Kenny and Jeremiah.
