Harold “Butch” McVay, Jr.

Harold “Butch” McVay, Jr., 72, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 10, 2016.
Harold was born June 10, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa to Harold Sr. and Elizabeth McVay.
He was a proud U. S. Navy veteran and a retired member of Iron Workers Union Local 67.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sandy; children, Wendy (Ken) Clemmer, Pat (Karlene) McVay, and Shawn (Shilo) McVay; grandchildren, Randy, Shawn, Mason, Kylee, and Nakayla; great-granddaughter, Annaleigh; sister, Dorothy (Don) Amis; four-legged best friend, Grizzly; and many extended relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Shirley Renes.
All services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14th. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 15th.

So sorry about the loss of your husband and brother. I have so many fond memories of the stories Liz would tell of her families. I knew her when she lived in the apartments on Harbach and as a member of Clive Good Idea Club.
