Charles “Chuck” Utter, 45, passed on to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
Chuck was born November 25, 1970, on Thanksgiving Day. He was an amazing son, brother, and father. Chuck had a wonderful sense of humor and could always cheer everyone up regardless of the situation.
He is survived by his mother, Diane Utter; daughters, Cynthia Utter and Abby Waters-Utter; sisters, Brenda Miller and Wendy Utter; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Zach, Wesley, Jessica, and Zane.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Frederick “Chuck” Utter.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7th at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.

Chuck was the best friend I ever had. He was caring, funny, and always there when needed. I miss him dearly and think about him often. Rest in heaven my friend.

Diane, Brenda, Wendy and family. My heart breaks for your loss. I remember the fun little white haired boy being in our lives for so many years. He was a pistol and I loved him dearly. Wish I could have been there to see him grow into the man he became. I know God is walking with you through this journey and Chuck is by his side. Love you with all my heart. He will be missed.

Chuck will be in our hearts and minds forever. If he had a friend in need, he was there for them to cheer them up or berate them into getting out of their self pitty. He had jesus in his heart and shared that with all who would listen usually in an unconventional manner. It worked for him. He will be missed. My condolences to the family.
