William "Bill" Mosley
December 25, 2015
William “Bill” Mosley passed away peacefully on December 25, 2015, at age 82, surrounded by those who loved him very much. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
Bill was born March 28, 1933 in Albia, Iowa to Mike and Liela Mosley. He was the star of the Albia High School football, basketball and track teams, and even started their golf team. After graduating, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Bill was employed for 38 years at Diamond Laboratories/ Syntex Agri-business. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan, and enjoyed golf, tennis, working in the yard, watching all sports on TV (always said he had the best seat in the house), as well as bragging about his children and grandchildren. Bill had a wonderful sense of humor and everyone enjoyed being around him. Most of all, he loved being around his family.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Marilyn; his son Rick (Stacie) Mosley, Urbandale, IA; and his daughters Terri (John) McClavy, Clive, IA; Cathy (Pat) Morrissey, Papillion, NE; Chris (Eric) Kiser, Woodstock, GA; Lisa (Luke Ginn) Mosley-Ginn, Des Moines, IA; his 13 grandchildren Jodi Cooper, Buck (Heather Tew) McClavy, Brett (Nicole) McClavy, Matt McClavy, Zach Mosley, Taylor Ginn, Lauren Morrissey, Max Mosley, Megan Morrissey, Riley Ginn, Kasey Kiser, Brian Morrissey, and Bailey Kiser; and 4 great-grandchildren Jake Cooper, Skylar Tew, Corbin McClavy, and Lucy McClavy. He is also survived by sister Barbara Mosley, Des Moines, IA; brother George (Sandra) Mosley, Fife, WA; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 29 at Hamilton’s, 605 Lyon Street, from 5-7 pm, rosary to follow. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, December 30, at Our Lady of the Americas Parish. 1271 E 9th Street, at 10:00 am.

To Marilyn & the Mosley family. I am so sorry for your loss. Bill was a great man and a joy to be around. I feel blessed to have visited with him during my last trip to DM.
