Judith Diane Wickstrom

Judith Diane Woods Wickstrom, gained her angel wings on July 11, 2015 in Gulfport, MS at the age of 73. Judy was born July 20, 1941 in Des Moines to Paul and Betty (Moore) Woods. She grew up in Des Moines and was a graduate of Tech High School where she was a drum majorette. Judy was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family and loved being with her grandchildren. She enjoyed casinos, fishing and playing cards. Judy loved her plants, her garden and was well known for her chocolate chip cookies. She will be remembered with such love by so many and will be greatly missed.

Judy is survived by her husband, Daryl Wickstrom of Gulfport, MS; her children, Kevin (Jennifer) Fish of Biloxi, MS and Kim (Fred) Hagar of West Des Moines; her siblings, Dixie (Ralph) Engelhardt, JoAnn Schmied, Bud (Terrie) Woods, Sherrie (Randy) Patefield and Jo Lynn (Kevin) Hamilton; and her 4 grandchildren, Mitchell and Brianna Hagar, and Maxwell and Eleanor Fish; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Betty Woods; and her brother-in-law, Jim Schmied.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 17, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway with the funeral service on Saturday, July 18 at 3:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Jordan Cemetery in West Des Moines.
