Rodney W. McCloney

Rodney Wayne McCloney, 46, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Rod was born October 13, 1968 at Camp Pendleton, California, the son of Dennis and Audrey “Kaye” (Rubendall) McCloney. He honorably served six years in the Marine Corps during Desert Storm. Rod was a resident of the Des Moines area for most of his life and worked for the City of Des Moines.

Rod is survived by his parents, Dennis and Kaye; sister, Desiree Dennis; daughters, Danyelle Kramer and Rachel, Courtney and Jade McCloney; step-son, Jake Greenslade; nephews, Joshua Dunham and Cole West; niece, Kenzie West; girlfriend, Jami Myers and her daughters; as well as many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Services will be held at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 314 SE Army Post Road, Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015. Funeral service with military honors will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 7.
