David P. Forst

David Paul Forst, 75, was born July 13, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa to Harmon L. and Anna (Radosevich) Forst. He passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Kavanagh on 56th.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015, with funeral services to begin at 2:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
David was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. He was proud of his service in the United States Marine Corps Reserves (Semper Fi – Always Faithful) and worked as a mail handler for United States Postal Service for over 30 years. David was a member of Destiny Church in Valley Junction and enjoyed playing the guitar.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda (Ervin) Forst; children, Jon (Christina) Forst, Christopher (Mary) Forst, Jason (Sandra) Forst, James (Lana) Schnathorst, Jr., Michelle Kurst, Phyllis Schnathorst, Michael (Leanne) Schnathorst, Cindy (John) Wood, Alissa Forst and Zachary Forst; eighteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents.

David and his angelic music will be greatly missed by those of us at Destiny Church. Hed always had a positive Christian response as to his well being. He and his lovely wife Linda always a joy to be around. My Prayers go out to Linda who showed her strength and true faith in our Lord, as sh remained by his side during his long courageous fight with the unrelenting disease of cancer. I'm sure he was wearing the protective Armor of God to prepare him for his journey. My Thoughts and Prayers are with you Linda, and the rest of your family. God Bless and Keep you!!!
