Harriette Ann (Pietscher) Thompson, 85, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Harriette was born March 19, 1929 in Clinton, Iowa to Arthur W. and Loraine (Walrod) Pietscher. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and found great joy in helping others any way that she could.
She was a longtime member of Jordan United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Todd Thompson; her grandson, Scott Thompson; other loving relatives and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gerald Robert Thompson.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Jordan United Methodist Church, 1950 SE 4th St, Des Moines, IA 50315 with a memorial service to begin at 2 p.m. She will be inurned with her husband, Gerald, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
