Keith Martinus Laursen

Keith Martinus Laursen, 41, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, December 22, 2014. He was born on January 18, 1973 in Waverly and raised by Larry and Nancy Laursen.

Keith was baptized at the Pleasant Valley Church in Clarksville, Iowa and graduated with his GED. He was a self-employed creative carpenter who was skilled in many areas and worked for a number of years in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Keith loved his family and had a lot of energy. He was always interested in new ideas and had an active mind and imagination. Keith had a love for music and enjoyed immensely playing his guitar.

He is survived by his parents, Larry and Nancy Laursen; grandmother, Margaret Quade; former spouse, Tammy Browne, her son, A.J, and his daughter, Kashlynn; sister, Mone; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and will be truly missed by his family.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday January 2, 2015 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 161 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Oralabor Cemetery in Ankeny.
