Alan Bruce Anderson

Alan Bruce Anderson, 68, passed away November 3, 2014 at Kavanagh House on 56th. He will be cremated and laid to rest at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, IA on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. A reception will be held at the Veterans Hall in Van Meter immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Alan was born on October 24, 1946 to Doris (Crane) and Curtis Anderson in Webster City, IA. He graduated from Ames High School and then attended Iowa State University. Alan served in the Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He later moved to Des Moines and enjoyed a 15 year career in radio and T.V. broadcasting, and 30 years in industrial sales. Alan was a life-long fan of the Iowa State Cyclones and the Chicago Bears.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Anderson; brother, Harlan (Susan) Anderson; children, Tatum Carroll, Bret Anderson, and Cramer Anderson. Alan was preceded in death by his father.
