Delores Mooers was born on October 30th, 1929 in Menlo, Iowa to Robert C. Kelly and Maud M. Kelly. She married Robert W. Mooers on June 26th 1948 at St. Patrick’s Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Delores passed away on October 4th, 2014. She is survived by her two children, Michael Wayne Mooers (Patti) of Queen Creek, Arizona and Elizabeth Ann Mooers Taylor of Altoona, Iowa; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Colleen Peverill; and four brothers, Bill D. Kelly, Louis S. Kelly, Howard E. Kelly, and Harry C. Kelly.
There is no memorial service. Memorial donations may be made to: Care Initiatives Hospice, 7055 Vista Drive, West Des Moines, IA, 50266 and Parkridge Nursing and Rehab, 4755 Parkridge Ave, Pleasant Hill, IA, 50327.

My grandmother was so thoughtful, loving, and patient. She was also very funny! I remember how much I looked forward to Saturday nights when I was growing up, watching The Golden Girls and snuggling in our pajamas. She is and will continue to be missed. I count myself very blessed to have the time that I had with her. Love you, Grandma!

Dee was a very special lady. Always happy and giggly. She brought sunshine into the world daily. She will be missed by everyone she touched in her life. Now Heaven gets to enjoy her.

Dee was a beautiful lady inside and out...I will treasure our 25 years of friendship love and laughter on a daily basis. I will miss my "best friend" so very much...but will keep our many memories so close to my heart until we reunite in each other's heavenly arms someday. "I Love you forever my dearest friend."

My dear Grandma Dee was my best friend. She was always there for me and my three children. I have nothing but wonderful memories with her and I miss her so much. I will always pass on great times and stories to them because they miss her so much as well. RIP grandma Dee, someday in heaven we will play cards and games again. I love you!!
