John Clark, 62, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014. John was born October 11, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Jacquelyn (Reeves) Clark and Edward Clark. He graduated from Tech High in Des Moines and worked at Advanced Auto Parts and as an auto parts manager at NAPA. His favorite hangouts were Victory Lane and Hull Ave.
John is survived by his sons Josh, Jeremy, Chris and Chad, his mother Jackie Clark, siblings Rick, Mick and Lori, and grandchildren Madison, Jerzi, Dylan, Payton, Landon and Maycen.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward and his brother Steve.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 8, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will occur at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.

I knew John for a little over five years. I feel like I am family. I get along with his sons. When we had family get togethers, he would always make a point to come up to me and give me a hand shake and we would talk. He will be missed by so many people.

I cannot say enough what a kind and genuine man J.C. was. He looked out for others, ahead of himself at times, and would spread a positive energy to those around him! "I mean, you know..." His sweet chuckle will remain always in my heart!
