I've known David aka Padre for almost my whole life!! He's always been like family! His daughters are like my sister's and my children addressed him as Grandpa! The last time I saw him was here in Florida to celebrate his grandchildren's birthdays! He is always happy telling jokes he loved to made people laugh! He was undoubtedly the smartest person I knew if he didn't know the answer to something he would find it!! And the depth of his heart was best shown in the love he had for his three favorite people in the world Tre, Java, and Kay Kay!! He will be missed and the world is now one less amazing person! We love you Padre watch over us!! RIP

I knew David for close to 25 years, both professionally and as a friend. He was absolutely one of the kindest, open-hearted people I've ever met. He would do anything for anyone (and did) - I trust this is how everyone will remember him.
I didn't see him as often as we both would've liked the last few years, but I'll always remember his heart and hilarious laugh. He was a positive influence on everyone he met, even in light of failing health - it was never about his problems, and always about those he cared about.
I wish we could've had one more Meskwaki trip, Dave. We'll all miss you.
