Harlan Gulling

Harlan C. Gulling, 97, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Mitchellvillage Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2007 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home with burial at Lowman Cemetery in Runnells, Iowa. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening.
Harlan was born April 18, 1910 in Vandalia, Iowa to Peter and Emma (Trader) Gulling. He retired from Meredith Publishing in 1974 after 18 years of service. They had farmed before working at Meredith Publishing.
Harlan is survived by his loving wife, of 77 years, Gladys Gulling; daughter, Doris Warren of Altoona; son, Keith (Vava) Gulling of Runnells; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Wanda Tingle; and his three brothers, and his three sisters.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, neighbor and friend.
