Sharon Streeter

Sharon Kay Streeter, 71, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at her home. She was born June 23, 1942 in Des Moines. She retired from Nationwide Insurance in 2007. Sharon was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed watching the San Francisco 49ers. She loved Elvis and playing slot machines. She also enjoyed watching golf and horse races.

Sharon is survived and loved by her children, Linda H., Tammy Clark, Steven White and Kevin White; grandchildren, Heather White, Michael Clark and Macalester White; great-grandson, Anthony White; brother, Walter “Bud” Downard; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Thelma (Wagner) Downard.

Visitation will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
