Yvonne Seward

Yvonne Seward, 90, passed peacefully in her sleep at Iowa Lutheran Hospital on Monday, August 27, 2007. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Wesley Acres, 3520 Grand Ave. in Des Moines
Yvonne was born December 21, 1916 in Winnipeg, Canada to Frank and Cordelia (Wilson) Nilan. She attended the University of Minnesota and the McPhail College of Music and Drama, where she met her husband, Theodore Seward. They were married February 22, 1941. She enjoyed playing bridge, the arts, good friends and most of all, family.
Yvonne is survived by her son, Theodore Seward; daughter, Susan (Pat) Kozitza; son, James (Anne) Seward; son, Todd Seward; grandchildren, Cheryl (Mike) Johnson, Tanya (Matt) Wentzel, Christine (Brian) Allred, Tim Kozitza, Kevin (Abbey Williams) Kozitza, Christopher, Jesse and Peter Seward; and great-grandchildren, Carenna, Bryce and Alana Johnson and Gabe Wentzel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Timothy; and daughter-in-law, Judy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Wesley Acres Endowment fund.
