Arlys Hagge

Arlys E. Hagge, 83, of Des Moines died peacefully at her home Sunday night.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Peace Lutheran Church, SW 14th and Porter in Des Moines. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Arlys was born in Milbank, S.D. to Roy and Addie Hackbarth. She was a graduate of Ogden High School and received a degree from A.I.B. She lived most of her life in Des Moines and was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, William J. Hagge in 1994.
Arlys worked for Iowa Power and Light for 28 years until retiring in 1989. She was a long time member of Peace Lutheran and enjoyed spending time with friends at the senior center and the widows group.
Arlys is survived by a son Kim and his wife Colleen of Prole, IA and a daughter Karen Morrill of Des Moines; grandchildren Kara Hagge of Waukee, Kurt (Katherine) Hagge of Des Moines, Chris Morrill (Anita) of Des Moines and Matt Morrill of Ames. Chris and Anita are parents of Arlys' first great-grandchild Merrick. She is also survived by a brother Keith (Mary) Hackbarth of Oregon.
There will be visitation at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th in Des Moines from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday August 28, 2007.
