Cynthia "Cindy" Curry

Cynthia “Cindy” Curry passed away with her loving family by her side on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Cynthia Louise was born on August 15, 1957, the eldest child of Alfred G. and Janet (Baird) Curry.

Cindy enjoyed cooking and shopping. She shopped every Saturday at Wal-Mart. She loved her sunglasses, purses, candy, eating at McDonalds and pizza at Subway. She also loved babies, kids, animals and a good conversation.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines. Family will greet visitors from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Norwalk Cemetery.

Cindy is survived by her parents, Alfred G. and Janet; siblings, Mark (Carla) Curry, Bonnie Konrad, Michael Curry and Brenda (Craig) Downard; nieces, Simone, Amanda, Alesha, Emily and Ryhanna; nephews, Joshua, Luke, Alex, Dustin, Grant, Levi and Ben; great-nieces, Jaelynn, Avery and Kendall; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruth & Donald Baird and Ethel & William Curry.
