Linda Stockbauer

Linda Jean Stockbauer passed away on May 22, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa after a short illness, at age 66. She was preceded in death by her father, Simy H. Stockbauer; mother, Mary J. Sommerville; and son, Matthew F. Schrier. She is survived by five of her children: Brenda J. Cosner (Donald), Russell L. Harris (Jill), Peggy S. Myers (Jim), Thomas C. Harris (Marybelle), and Richard L. Schrier, Jr. She was also blessed with nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Linda was born at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa on July 27, 1947, and was the only child born to Simy and Mary. She lived most of her life in Des Moines and was employed by Ruan for many years. She also did work for the Democratic Party.
She was a Civil War and American History enthusiast who loved to travel and visit historical sites. She loved music, namely The Beatles, Bob Seger, and Jackson Browne. Her other hobbies included patchwork quilting and crocheting angels and quilts. She was cremated on May 27, 2014, in accordance with her wishes.
