Kenneth Martin

Kenneth G. Martin, 76, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Unity Point Hospice Taylor House. He was born September 13, 1937 in Des Moines to William and Mamie (Lowe) Martin.

Kenneth worked for Stone Container as a Fork Lift Driver for 27 years before retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Teamsters and Trinity Baptist Church. Kenneth loved fishing, the Pittsburg Steelers, the Iowa Hawkeyes and traveling.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Theresa (John) Martin; grandson, JK; and a host of extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia; and brothers, Wayne and Glenn.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 19, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. with the funeral service following at 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
