Margaret Earp

Margaret Isabel Earp, 83, of Des Moines passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 3 PM Friday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1 PM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
Isabel was born December 30, 1922 in Everest, Kansas to John and Margaret Sawyer and retired from Principal Financial. Her greatest joys were her children and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent much time with them and passed on her sewing skills, her piano skills and the unconditional love only grandmothers can give.
Her retirement years produced many beautiful quilts for family and friends. Recent years found her “heading east” for a few hours of fun at Prairie Meadows. Isabel passes on a tremendous strong spirit of life. She has endured life’s great tragedies with such grace. She leaves a lifetime of memories to her son Dave, daughter-in-law Jonann, sisters, in laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She now joins the love of her life Virg, son Bob and daughter Jonna for happiness eternal. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Taylor House.
