Frances Kirkpatrick

Frances Allen (Lacy) Kirkpatrick was born August 9, 1923 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to Homer and Ione (Woods) Lacy. She married Glenn Dale Kirkpatrick and worked as the Data Processing Operations Manager for First Interstate Bank in Des Moines. Frances loved being with her family, traveling, and reading. She was a member of Altoona Christian Church.
Frances passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at East Village Care Center in Des Moines at the age of 90.
She is survived by her loving family: children, David (Sharon) of Pleasant Hill, Dennis (Brenda) of San Antonio, TX, Donna (Tony) Anderson of Cedar Rapids, James (Kendra) of West Des Moines, and John of Cobden, IL; siblings, Homer (Barb) Lacy of Louisville, KY, Mildred (Bill) Lewey of San Antonio, TX, Carrie Gilley of Harriman, TN, and Kay (Frank) Robinson of Lexington, KY; nine grandchildren: Mike (Tracie), Steve, Brian (Katie), Chris Anderson, Alice (Geoff) Kershaw, Dan (Chrissy), Joe (Carla), Jessica (Tony) Penticoff, and Tony Byron; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dale.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, also at the funeral home, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to UnityPoint Health Hospice.

I USE TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR MOM AT EAST VILLAGE USE TO BE PRIME WHEN I WORKED THERE SHE WAS A JOY TO BE AROUND AND ALWAYS HAD A SMILE TO BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY. SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS YOUR MOM WAS A GREAT LADY.
