Janice Mills

Janice Mills, 77, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Janice was born November 27, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Hattie (Wood) Berry. She has been a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. Janice married Jerald Mills and together they raised four children. She loved her family and spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed her job outside the home with Merry Maids and was a member of Berean Assembly of God Church. Janice kept very active with groups and friends at her home at Parkridge Care Center. She also enjoyed sewing and needlepoint.

Janice is survived by her children: Diane (Doug) Carroll, James (Lisa) Mills, Linda McGrew, and Karen (Loren) Mills; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brothers, Fred and Harvey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerald; great-grandson, Mason; sisters, Joyce, Marilyn, and Dorothy; and brothers, Bill, Bob, and Eugene.

Visitation and services will be held at Berean Assembly of God Church, 5299 E University Avenue, Pleasant Hill. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2014. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 18 with burial at Lowman Cemetery in Runnells.
