Stephanie Marie Myhervold Ellis passed away suddenly at her home on December 28, 2013. She was born on April 7, 1980 to Charles and Melinda Myhervold. Stephanie graduated from Valley High School and then attended La’James International College to become an Esthetician.
She is survived by her parents; her significant other, Ben Smith; her children, Charlie Ellis (13) and Penelope Smith (5 months); her older sister, Jamie; and grandfather, Everett Long. Stephanie was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Donna Myhervold, and Barbara Long.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Stephanie will be cremated. Online condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

I am finding out so very Late. I worked with you at Estee Lauder counter at Von Maur sooooo many long years ago, we were in our twenties.!!!. I instantly loved you(who wouldn't ?!!)! i remember Your truly unparalleled Beauty (only you could make lime shimmer eye shadow from the Mac counter look good!!) I miss your sense of Humor (only you could make me laugh so hard at the silliest things.) honestly, you were a lovely and smart and funny and wonderful Soul. And I'm sad the world doesn't get more of YOU. sad that WE don't get more of you.

Dear Stephie Boo... I still am in shock that you are not here... Is this a reality? or is this a horrible nightmare... Maybe I will never know. After you left the store,I was lost because I know I would possibly never see you again... It was the sad truth...I wish we would have stayed in touch so I could have been there wen you had your beautiful baby. I know you of all people would have loved to stay here longer to dress her up in the cutest outfits... We all love and miss you Stephy.

Well Steph I really really miss talking to you I feel like what happened was not real are you really gone? Sophie, Wyatt and I keep lisening to your last voicemail that you left on my phone I will not ever forget you!! All the times you stood up for me and yelled at or translated my thoughts to men I've dated because you were so much better at it than me your sensitive caring spirit was something that I will truely miss I just want to call you! We miss you I'm taking care of Bob for you and I will help raise Penny and see Charlie as much as I can my kids will miss their aunt Steph and who is going to ask me for money huh? My heart aches for all those that have lost Stephanie, but especially for her Mother and Father. It is so hard to loose a child. It is just not what is supposed to happen. I am so sorry for your loss. Stephanie was a beautiful soul and I pray she finds her peace.

Hey babe. Miss you. Penny caught her first cold a couple of days ago. I'll write it on the calender just like you would. She is also starting to grow her hair back and prop her head up while she is laying on her back. She is a real people.

I knew Stephanie as we were teenagers growing up but sadly I have not seen her nor talked to her in a very long time, but she had the most amazing laugh and she was so beautiful! I will never forgot the times we spent as young girls together! I am truly sad for the loss of this beautiful person! My condolences go out to her family!!! Love you Stephanie!

We are so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Jamie's sister Stephanie. Although we did not know her we felt like we did, Jamie talked about her and her new baby all the time while get getting hair cuts. Our prayers are with the families. Our heart goes out to you all.

Stephanie was the most amazing people I have met. She was always happy and smiling. She never let anyone put her down and always stood up for what she thought was fair. Stephanie was one of the greatest workers Dollar Tree had. The world will be missing out on a great girl and she will be missed but never forgotten by the ones who got to receive the joy she had to bring into this world. <3

My adoration for Stephanie has lasted many years, and will continue to. I am sad for her passing, I've been reflecting on all the fun times we had as teenagers, how funny Stephanie was, how beautiful, and a good person. My thoughts and love are with all of her surviving family. Also with her friends as we are all suffering a big void with the loss of her on this earth.
