Larry Larpenter

Larry Larpenter, 78, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013. He was born February 25, 1935, to Dayton and Cleone Larpenter in Des Moines, Iowa.

Larry served in the United States Navy for four years, two of which were spent on the USS Ingersoll. He enjoyed working 47 years at AE Dairy making cottage cheese. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol; children, Larry (Debra) Larpenter and Craig Larpenter; grandchildren, Gregory, Benjamin, Alexander, Christopher and Theodore; siblings, Ronald, Sandra, Gary, David and Linda.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dayton, Huebert and Richard.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Funeral Services will be held at 9 a.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
