Wilma J. Samo, 95, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Plantation, Florida where she had been living for the past two years.
Wilma was born November 17, 1917 in Manly, Iowa to William and Lizette Flower. Together she and her husband, Clyde, owned and operated Clyde’s Launder-Rite. She was also employed as a personal shopper for Younkers.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Janet (Dan) Ross, son, Jerry (Karla) Samo, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013 at First Church of the Open Bible, 2200 Beaver Avenue in Des Moines with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held for an hour prior to the service at the church.

Will always remember the wonderful gift of the sanctuary organ at Beaver & Hickman! Arlene spent many hours playing it from dedication day until we left Des Moines in 1971. She was a sweet lady and lived a full life. Now she is home.
