Henry "Hank" Staub

Henry “Hank” Staub, 86, passed away August 24, 2013. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1627 Grand Ave in West Des Moines on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. with a rosary at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waukesha, WI.

Hank was born on April 11, 1927 to Marie (Knoebel) and Henry Staub in Pewaukee, WI. He married Marion Leisten and the couple lived in Waukesha, WI until moving to Des Moines to be closer to their daughter. Hank was an avid bicyclist and was very ingenious. He built a child seat for daughter, Catherine before child seats were heard of for a bicycle. Hank was a Machinist for Industrial Clutch until retirement in 1989.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 51 years, Marion; and his daughter, Catherine (James Stepp) Staub; grandsons, Ryan and Alex Staub, all of West Des Moines; and his sister, Joan Staub of Waukesha, WI.
