Mary M. Johnson

Mary M. Johnson, 70, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013, at UnityPoint Hospice Taylor House.

Mary was born August 21, 1942, in Denison, Texas. She enjoyed her coffee and the outdoors. Mary liked blues music and had a strange way of always knowing what was going to happen before it happened. She loved her family and friends and dearly loved and missed her husband of 32 years, whom she had been with since they were 18 years old.

Mary is survived by her children, Greg Wright, Jewel Wright, Toyes Johnson (Lisa Sims), Mary Jean Johnson (Benjamin Bolden), Mark Johnson, Eyvonne Johnson (Marcus Jordan), Ernest Johnson, Angel Johnson (Michael Soto), Tony Johnson, Tommy Lee Johnson, Rosetta Blanton, Brookies Peterson, and Betty Johnson; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two nieces; and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Charles Johnson; sister, Gloria Wilson; brother, Fred; mother, Jewel English; and her three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home at 11 o’clock a.m., Sunday, August 25, 2013, with visitation one hour prior to services.
