Michael Coulter, 58, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013.
Michael was born February 3, 1955, in Edenton, North Carolina, to John and Jean (Hays) Coulter.
He was an avid golfer and loved traveling. Cooking was his passion and he was employed as an executive chef for over 30 years. Michael loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Michael is survived by his wife, Sherry; children, Mitchell (Amanda Jo) and Austin (Amanda Marie); step-daughter, Miranda Belger; grandchildren, Alexis, Caden, Avalyn and Ashton; sister, Pamela Pacilli (William) of Tampa, FL; brother, Scott (Penny) Apple Valley, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jean.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m., on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

I was shocked to here of my friends passing. Mike and I have been friends for the pass 19 years.We enjoyed happy hour together every single day of the week at either at Johnnies or Tumea's for all those years. we became best friends. everyone had to smile when Mike would break out that great smile of his. I will truly miss my friend. My condolences to Sherry and the rest of the family.

I am so sorry for such a great loss. I have many fond memories of Mike like Working at Chapter 13 and yes one of the best was the wedding of Mike and Sherry. Sherry sitting on a motorcycle in full wedding gown. He will be missed by many far and near. He was the best chef I have ever known. R.I.P. brother

Sherry and Family,
I was so sorry to learn of Mike's passing. I enjoyed knowing Mike since his days at Younkers Tea Room and social hours at Johnnie's Hall of Fame and Tumea's. His talents and humor will be missed by many of us. My condolences
